I love that song!! it always reminds me of God’s great love for us and unchanging unrelenting love! anywho…is it just me or has this week been the fastest week known to man? i feel like it was just tuesday, though i’m not complaining i heart the weekends.

I just finished the most inspiring and best book i have read on prayer to date!! You may have heard about it. Its called ‘The Circle Maker: Praying Circles Around Your Biggest Dreams and Greatest Fears’ by Mark Batterson. The Senior Pastor of National Community Church in Washington, D.C. Talk about a guy and a church that dreams big dreams and prays big prayers and prays through. Like the israelites did as they marched around jericho. Some big things I take away from this book is 1. God is not intimidated by your giant prayers. He welcomes them. 2. the more you pray the more your prayers are refined 3. God is for you. If you prayed with that mindset, it might inspire you to pray longer and harder 4. prayer is not a sprint but a marathon. we have to learn how to pray through. don’t quit or give up. think about if the israelites would have quit on day 6 of marching around Jericho or if daniel stopped praying on day 20. The Israelites wouldnt have been able to witness the mindblowing miracle of the wall falling in Jericho and Daniel would not have had the angelic encounter. I can’t even begin to explain all of the nuggets and truths i learned from this but i will leave you with this quote from the book. This is a story about Rodney “Gypsy” Smith 1860-1947 British evangelist.

“Gypsy’s secret was revealed to a delegation of revival seekers, who asked him how God could use them, just as he was using Gypsy. Without hesitation, Gypsy said, “Go home. Lock yourself in your room. Kneel down in the middle of the floor, and with a piece of chalk draw a circle around yourself. There, on your knees, pray fervently and brokenly that God would start a revival within that chalk circle.”

Isn’t that amazing! and then Mark Batterson goes on to say about the book, ” May it inspire you and remind you to draw a prayer circle. That is where every great movement of God begins. MAY IT BEGIN WITH YOU, IN YOU.”

pick up a copy for yourself and be inspired again to start [and not stop] praying for your greatest dreams and praying for your family and friends and see miracles happen.

To go forward into the New Year, we must not only be fabulous on the outside but also be complete on the inside.  It is only then that we are truly Posh!

This is my recipe for internal beauty and charm ~

2 cups of Joy
4 tsp Laughter
1/2 cups Peace
4 cups Love
1 cup Health
1/2 cup Compassion
3 tsp Vision
2 cups Truth
1 Sprig of Wisdom
1 medium-size bag of Generosity (the regular kind won’t do!)

Pre-heat your oven to kindness. Mix in faithfulness, patience, Self-control and passion until consistent. Use the mixture to fill a large, warm heart, where it can be stored for a lifetime. (It never goes bad!)

have you all heard about this case? the Loving v. Virginia case in which an african american woman and a white american man were arrested and convicted of miscengeny. In 1958, it was against the law for any white person to marry or have relations with a non white person, Mildred and Richard Loving were arrested shortly after they were married and threatened with jail time unless they moved or of course got unmarried. so they moved to the district of columbia. But spent the next 8 years fighting to get their criminal records erased  with the assistance of the American Civil Liberties association and the vocal support of the Presbyterian and Roman Catholic churches.

I love the quote from the supreme court’s unianimous decision to over turn the Racial Integrity Act of 1924 and erase their criminal records; it says, “Marriage is one of the basic civil rights of man, fundamental to our very existence and survival. To deny this fundamental freedom on so unsupportable a basis as the racial classifications embodied in these statutes, classifications so directly subversive of the principle of equality at the heart of the Fourteenth Amendment, is surely to deprive all the State’s citizens of liberty without due process of law.”

Can you believe this was only 45 years ago?! INSANE!

today Kari Jobe’s album ‘where i find you’ is available in stores and on itunes. Get it. i’ve heard sneak peaks and its amazing! Especially this song ‘steady my heart’!

we exalt your name, high above the heavens. we exalt your name, all of creation sings praise. for Jesus reigns” I heard this great sermon about the women accused of adultery and how Jesus got down to write in the sand maybe to write out the sins of those condemning her but definitely to lock eyes with her and show her that no matter how messy or how far you think you’ve fallen i will get into your mess/into you dirt and I [Jesus] can redeem. isn’t that so encouraging! he loves us so much that he will come into our mess and redeem us and call/cause us not to sin again! I love him for so many reasons but especially for that!! I’m always challenged to give the same grace that i received but this story reminds me of his great love.  anywho…those lyrics were from ‘we exalt your name’ by kari jobe! can’t wait for Kari’s new album to come out! inst it so good! I’m such a sucker for good lyrics.
