The Fellowship of the Believers

The Fellowship of the Believers [ACTS 2]

42They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. 44All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. 46Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

another translation says ‘do not forsake the fellowship of the believers’. its the fellowship and community that was a testimony to the world around them and i think a lot of times we have gotten so used to the ‘virtual’ community that we forsake real life community and face time. there is something magical that happens when people who love God and are seeking to live kingdom mindedly gather. nothing can remain the same. their individual lives are changed and the lives of those around them are changed.  such a strength and encouragement that is derived from eachother. truths that are communicated. encouragement transferred. inspiration birthed. Thank you AA. I had such a GREAT time and left so full.

  1. Angela says:

this is what it’s all about. kingdom, kingdom, kingdom! pointing to a greater reality that even jesus was obsessed with!

  2. Angela says:

that’s so true! jesus wasn’t obsessed with Himself. He was obsessed with the Father and the Kingdom. Dang!

SO SO SO true! Such a simple revelation that if we fully grasped it. it would ruin us for anything else.
