This is the hardest thing i have ever had to write.
how do you put into words love. or describe a life.
where do i start?
how do i say this?
words fail me.
but i must honor him with all that i have to offer. with words and with song.
there are men and then there are heroes.
Chip Moss was and will forever be remembered as a hero.
A disciple. a man after God’s own heart. a husband. a father. an encourager. a servant.
a man full of integrity. full of Joy. full of courage and strength. full of love. worthy of respect and honor.
everyone he encountered was greeted with love, compassion and genuine interest.
he never forgot names or faces. stories or places.
the bible talks about a man who delights in the Lord,
3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither.
Whatever he does prospers.*
Indeed Mr. Moss was a tree [an oak of righteousness] whose life yielded fruit from which everyone he encountered could eat and find shelter. his influence was wide. his laughter contagious. his voice and encouragement healing. he reached those others could not reach. he was a brother. a friend. a confidante. a teacher. a leader. he was the best of men.
with his life we glimpsed that of the most Holy of Holy.
Last friday, one of the best men i have ever known past away.
